Birthright House Recognized as Featured Property!

The Birthright House has been recognized by the National Park Service as a recognized African American Historic Property for its national significance.

The Clarkton Historical Society needs everyone to contact your local senator to sponsor bill

S.1802 A bill to require a study of the feasibility of establishing the United States Civil Rights Trail System, and for other purposes.  Sponsored by Illinois Senator Roland Burris.  This important legislation will make projects such as the Birthright House a reality.
